Defective Volkswagon Vento parts replaced
Quality issue
Arpit Doshi purchased a Volkswagon Vento for Rs. 9.69 lakh in March 2017 from Automarks Motor Pvt. Ltd. Within six months the car developed problems and stopped abruptly on the highway. Arpit managed to get his car to the company service workshop. After inspection, he was told that several parts were damaged and needed to be replaced. It would cost him Rs. 3.12 lakh. The workshop staff told him that the parts had got damaged because poor quality fuel had been used.
Arpit was shocked because he always fueled up at company authorized pumps. He said that the parts must have been of poor quality and asked the company to replace them free of cost. When the company did not agree to his request, he contacted CERS. The consumer organization was able to persuade the company to replace the parts without any charge.
