Hotelier-philanthropist and CERS Trustee Jehangir Cama passes away at 76

Ahmedabad-based hotelier and philanthropist who started the Cama Hotel, one of the first luxury cum business hotels in the city in 1960, Mr Jehangir R.J. Cama, passed away on 25 August 2014.

Apart from leading several family-run companies, he was known for supporting charitable causes. A Trustee of CERS, he was a staunch supporter of the consumer movement. He was also the President of Blind People’s Association (BPA) at Ahmedabad since 2007 and led BPA by giving his time and resources.

Mr Cama, who was highly respected in the business fraternity, held many important positions in business associations such as Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Hotel and Restaurant Association (Western India).

We at CERC are deeply saddend by his demise.
