Taking a break from dieting key to weight loss

Tired of being on the diet and seeing no result? Perhaps, you should a take a break from dieting. A recent Australian study, published in the International Journal for Obesity, proves that continuous dieting does not help in shedding weight.

When we reduce our food intake, a phenomenon termed “adaptive thermogenesis” makes weight loss harder to achieve. Participants in the study who took a two-week break from their dieting regimes not only lost more weight but also gained less weight after the trial finished.

Good strategy
