Morning shower for creativity and night for sleepÂ
A study has suggested how your bath timing could impact your state of mind, reports www.today.com. It found that morning showers can satisfy creativity and are good for stressed workers while dusk showers help in falling asleep.
Showering both helps us relax and makes us alert. A morning shower stimulates creativity. Night-time showers are useful since they regulate body temperature which helps in falling asleep. Apart from timing, the temperature of the shower also has an effect. Hot showers might feel good but in general, warm showers are better.
SWEDEN
This country is running out of trash
The Swedish government has prioritized sustainability. As a result, 1.5 billion bottles and cans have been recycled annually for a population of about 9.6 million. Less than 1% of the waste produced in Sweden ends up in landfills.
Sweden participates in a waste-to-energy programme under which there are 32 special plants to generate electricity out of garbage. By using this approach, the country is able to reduce toxins that seep into the ground.
AUSTRALIA
Codeine to become prescription-only medicine from 2018
Painkillers containing codeine will require a prescription in Australia from 2018 amid concerns over misuse and addiction. Under current laws, codeine can be obtained in compound form in over-the-counter (OTC) painkillers and cough medicines.
Therapeutic Goods Administration, Australia’s drug regulator believes that many consumers use low-dose codeine medicines to self-treat chronic pain which leads to addiction. The decision brings Australia into line with most developed countries like US, most of Europe, Hong Kong and Japan where a prescription is needed for the opioid-based medication.
