Hitachi takes back defective Split AC
Jitendrasingh Thakur bought a Hitachi Split AC from an authorized dealer after taking a loan from Bajaj Finance. After the installation, he found that the cooling was not adequate nor was the air flow. He complained to the dealer as well as Hitachi. The dealer sent a technician to check the unit but he did not find any problem. But Jitendrasingh was not satisfied with the working of the  Split AC. He requested that the  Split AC be taken back. He also cancelled the loan agreement with Bajaj Finance.
When the AC was not collected from his place even after repeated requests, he wrote to Consumer Education and Research Society (CERS), Ahmedabad. CERS spoke to both Hitachi and the dealer after which Hitachi sent its technicians to check the AC. After that visit, Hitachi decided to take back the AC.
