October-19: CERS mediates

Union Bank of India persuaded to take prompt action

To give or not to give

cm

Rajesh Shukla had to pay the college fees for his son for which he transferred Rs. 1,70,000 from his Union Bank of India account to his HDFC Bank account. The amount was debited from the Union Bank account but it was not remitted to the HDFC account. When he contacted the Union Bank officials, they informed him that it was due to some technical fault, and the money would be reverted to his account in a few days. Since he was in immediate need of the money, he contacted CERS. Understanding the urgency, CERS called up the bank officials and successfully persuaded them to take action. Union Bank of India credited the amount back into his account the same day.

 Timely help

Rajesh Shukla – Sincere appreciation for your prompt response in resolving my complaint within hours.
