Guests of honour at an event by BIS to celebrate World Consumer Rights Day
On the occasion of World Consumer Rights Day on 15th March, Anindita Mehta, CEO, CERC and Board Trustee Consumer International UK, was a Guest of honour at an event by BIS to celebrate WCRD.
She spoke about the significance of WCRD, and specifically about Fair and Responsible AI for Consumers.
She talked about issues around Consumer safety, privacy, digital fairness, fraud and misinformation, and the lack of AI-specific policies, regulations, and ethical guidelines.
She highlighted concerns around generative AI insufficiency of AI-specific regulations in India, the absence of clear ethical guidelines, Accountability and Liability challenges, etc.
