Anindita Mehta, CEO CERC, attended the 5th SEA-AICOSCA Cottonseed, Oil and Meal Conclave on July 12-13, 2024
Organized by the Solvent Extractors’ Association (SEA), Dr Prabodh Halde, Marico, and the All India Cottonseed Crushers Association (AICOSCA), the event focused on “Harvesting Sustainability: Nurturing Growth in Cottonseed, Oil & Meal.” Over 300 delegates, including industry experts, government officials, and researchers, attended.
The inaugural session featured addresses by Hon. Minister Shri Jagdishbhai Ishwarbhai Panchal and Shri Pasha Patel, Chairman of the Commission for Agricultural Costs & Prices, Maharashtra.
Eight sessions were held, covering various aspects of the cottonseed industry, including new technologies, marketing, health benefits, and risk management, new technologies, marketing, branding, packaging, and the nutritional benefits of cottonseed oil. Experts emphasized the need for technological advancements, value addition, and strategic marketing.
The event underscored the importance of sustainability, innovation, and collaboration in driving the cottonseed and oil industry forward.
