International

CERC is represented on the Council & Board of Consumer International UK, which is a membership organization of 200+ members across 120 countries. CEO-CERC is a Trustee of CI.

CERC is engaged with CI as a partner in various aspects of consumer protection, education, and empowerment by way of regular joint projects such as the Ann Fransen project, Green Action Fund project by SSNC (Swedish Society for Nature Conservation), and various consultative committees.

CEO-CERC is a member of the Chair’s Advisory Group of ISO- COPOLCO- Geneva and represents the collective voice of the Asia Pacific region.

CERC’s voice as part of the CI delegation has reached notable international platforms such as the WTO- World Trade Organization, UNEP- United Nations Environment Program, WHO, (Geneva) OECD, Ministerial, ISO-COPOLCO, United Nations-UNCTAD, Stockholm Food Forum-Sweden, KATS-Korea Agency for Technology & Standards, and many more.

CERC has conducted research projects (3–5-year duration) in association with prominent international organizations like IKEA, Nutrition International – Canada, German Organization -GIZ, WHO, WHICH, etc.

CERC is the Resource Partner with the Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change (MoEF&CC), Govt. of India, implementing their EIACP, GSDP, Capacity Building & Mission LiFE Programs.

CEO- CERC is a member of the Governing Council of the Bureau of Indian Standards, the NSB of India. CERC officials represent the consumer voice at various Technical Committees, Working groups, and Division Councils of BIS.

CERC is recognized by the State Consumer Affairs department, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, as the nodal agency for all district-level consumer organizations in Gujarat State.

CERC is on various Boards and Consultative Committees of Regulatory bodies like FDCA, FSSAI, and various Government Bodies (e.g. Steering Committee of Ecolabels Rules & Standards, Govt. of India, ISO COPOLCO National Mirror Committee, Committee for misleading advertisement, BIS, and many more.
