CERC is a Resource Partner with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC)

We nurture environmental literacy by promoting eco-labelling and sustainable consumption practices.

We educate citizens to identify eco-friendly products that reduce environmental impact and support green innovation.

Our programs empower individuals to make informed choices through knowledge of ecolabels, the circular economy, and green alternatives.

Green Action Fund

The Consumer Education and Research Centre (CERC) receives the Green Action Fund(GAF) supports from the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation (SSNC), under the global Green Action Week (GAW) initiative. The fund aims to strengthen community-based environmental action by promoting sustainable consumption and sharing practices.

Through this project, CERC implements a series of awareness and engagement activities across schools, communities, and partner institutions in the states. The initiative encourages the concept of “Sharing Community”, where people exchange skills, services, and resources to reduce waste, promote eco-friendly living, and build stronger social bonds. With SSNC’s support, CERC organizes events such as the Fun Fair “Aap-Le No Otlo”, eco-art competitions, awareness campaigns on eco-friendly products, and Mission LiFE pledges.

The Green Action Fund enables the Centre to reach hundreds of students and citizens, motivating them to adopt sustainable lifestyle choices, reuse and recycle materials, and make informed consumption decisions.

This collaboration between SSNC and CERC continues to foster environmental awareness and consumer responsibility, contributing to the broader goal of building a greener, more equitable future.
